Germany: the race to the Baja 1000, begins!

BFGoodrich®'s Baja Pit-Stop Challenge 2017 looks set to test drivers' mettle across Germany.

Do you think you are driver enough for Baja? Well, BFGoodrich® and AUTO BILD are bringing drivers to the legendary Baja 1000 competition. But before they do so, they want to test your off-road driving skills. This year, drivers from Germany, Switzerland and Austria will come together to test their stamina. During three memorable days filled with off-road action and adventure, they will test their bodies and their machines to see if they’ve got what it takes to go to Baja Mexico

Drivers can compete for the qualifiers in two German cities: Oschersleben (19-21 May, 2017) and Knüllwald (22-24 September, 2017).

Great challenge

The Baja 1000 rally in Mexico consists of over 1000 miles of track through nothing but desert – and is considered one of the toughest off-road races in the world. Applicants can apply as two-person teams, by 31st May 2017, and our jury will decide the five teams that will take part. At the end of September there will be a big final in Gerolstein as the five teams compete. Whoever wins the Pit-Stop Challenge will fly with the awesome legend Armin Schwarz to the 50th Baja 1000 this year, and watch the race up close between November 13th and 19th . So, get your driving heads on and prepare to race! Hotel and food will be covered, and the flights to Baja are complementary, too!
