This mechanic was a pure tragedy for our Renault Laguna. We got the car in even worse state than it was before leaving it... edit in reply: First of all, the car was not 290K km then; it had about 190K km on the meter, so it was still ok for a diesel. This opinion has been long in the making, as I had no patience to write it back then given all the stress and anger that situation caused. Let's start with the fact (I do not know if it's Italians in general or just particular fields in Italy) the car stayed untouched at the mechanic's for about 2 weeks (even though we were assured it will not take long), and only threatening that it would be taken back to the country of origin motivated the garage to take a look and get to work. One call informing the car would be taken, and suddenly the next day the car is ready. Very unprofessional to lead on a client with empty reassurements. At the time, car required the engine to be dismantled as its head gasket was burnt. Doesn't a good mechanic have his eyes wide open when dismantling the literal engine? After changing the gasket and giving back the car, problems with engine start-up have begun. Turned out two glowplugs were destroyed and/or infringed, and the mechanic did not see it? Isn't breaking glowplugs quite a common occurrence when changing the head gasket? It actually is extremely common, so didn't the mechanic see they were breaking these glowplugs? Unbelievable. Obviously, the garage shared no information about the potential glowplug problem, and no responsibility was taken whatsoever—just the money for the next servicing and no sorry, no nothing. A few days later, we decided to take a trip outside the city. We chose a mountain road leading south. Imagine our surprise when the car did not start-up after fueling it at the petrol station. How funny? It has just left the mechanic's garage after quite an intrusive fix-up, which led us into thinking that they have done the general check-up and diagnosis of the systems - apparently no. Long story short, after that, it turned out at the different mechanic's that beside the head gasket and glowplugs, the car also had a broken starter motor, leaky fuel wire (visible with bare eyes for gods' sake!) and not fully operational fuel injectors. What I am describing took place within not longer than a month from head gasket exchange and the glowplugs. How is that possible... Where I am from it is just an unacceptable course of events, but I hope no one else had an experience like we had

Due to a flat tire and damaged rim on the highway, while waiting for a tow truck, I contacted Setti SRL. Friendly, dynamic, and extremely helpful, even though it was 7:00 PM on a Friday evening! I can't express my gratitude to Claudio, Carmine, and the other gentlemen, whose names I don't know.
